Picture of myself at Jordon River on a storm-watching adventure!

Hello!

My name is Kirsten Suesser (she/her) and I am in my fourth and final year at the University of Victoria for a BSc in combined biology and psychology with an honours in biology. I am an undergraduate researcher in the Christie Lab (Division of Medical Sciences), President/VP Finance/Tutor for UVic’s Students Offering Support (SOS) club, and a UVic Campus Tour Guide.

I was born and raised in Victoria and have a passion for outdoor adventures, especially on Vancouver Island; in my spare time, I enjoy hiking with my dogs (Stryker and Flash, pictured below), paddleboarding, volunteering, horseback riding, and dancing!

I acknowledge and respect the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples on whose traditional territory I live and learn on, and the Songhees, Esquimalt and WSÁNEĆ peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.

Stryker (L) and Flash (R) – my twin Shetland Sheepdogs!
